*Looking for candidate with very strong education and work background in Environmental (will consider candidates with Safety background if they also have Environmental experience).

Shift Hours: Monday – Friday, 6:30 AM – 3:00 PM (30 minute unpaid lunch)
Hours per Week: 40 hours (overtime available as work need dictates)
Person Protection Equipment Requited: Eye protection in designated areas of plant, steel toed shoes required in designated areas of plant
This is a long term position

Job Description:
Manages the environmental, industrial, health and safety regulation compliance for one or multiple facilities.
Oversees the development, planning, and implementation of environmental, health and safety policies; develops procedures (chemical safety, ergonomics, illness and injury prevention, and building safety) used throughout the company.
Ensures compliance with federal, state, and local regulations pertaining to environmental safety and handles all contact with appropriate agencies.
Oversees licensed hazardous waste disposal and monitors waste handling.
Develops and oversees company training programs for employees in areas such as compliance training, lab/plant inspection, hazardous material handling, emergency response, industrial hygiene, and life safety.
May be the point of contact for emergency personnel and manage workers compensation program administration.
Ensures appropriate corrective action is taken where health and safety hazards exist.
Selects, develops, and evaluates personnel to ensure the efficient operation of the Environmental Management System and Health & Safety Program.
o Scope on Responsibility:
Provides direct supervision and leads a team/group of two or more professionals, technical, skilled and/or administrative contributors. Defines team operating standards and priorities; ensures necessary procedures are followed based on knowledge of own functional responsibility.
Provides direction to junior employees and makes decisions according to established policies, procedures, business plans and management guidance. Trains and develops employees on performance, sets employee performance objectives, conducts performance reviews and recommends pay actions. Acts as advisor to department and may become actively involved, as required, to meet deadlines and resolve issues. Typically does not spend more than 20% of time performing the work supervised. Interaction with junior supervisors and functional peer teams/ groups normally requires the ability to persuade and collaborate, conducting presentations concerning specific projects or schedules.
Receives assignments in the form of objectives with goals and the process by which to meet objectives. Provides input on resource planning and policy development. Exercises judgment within defined procedures and policies to determine appropriate action, but on occasion without clear precedent. Incorrect decisions or failure to achieve results will cause delays in work plans.

Years of Experience:
o Bachelor’s degree and at least 6 years of health and safety experience, including 1 year lead experience OR Master’s degree and at least 4 years of health and safety experience, including 1 year lead experience OR At least 8 years of health and safety experience, including 1 year lead experience

o Preferred:
OHSHA 30 Hour General Industry Certification
DOT HazMat Certification
Class K Wastewater Operator Certification

Rick was tasked with overseeing market development, leading sales and recruiting efforts while maintaining P& L control. Rick has lead programs in electric vehicle development including autonomy, infotainment and energy and remains fluent in military ground vehicle advancements. His commitment and training in these fields evolved into a Facility Security Officer role with active security clearances in support of government agencies and their supplier base.

Rick achieved his advancements via business administration and engineering studies and maintains robust engineering acumen today.
